Reverse Type 2
Diabetes
Reverse your type 2 diabetes Henry's way.
This follows the (Diabetes UK funded) Newcastle University Researched diet.
This information is provided totally free of charge.
The funny thing is, it actually works and in just 8 weeks.
It took me 6 weeks but I saw the 8 weeks out.
Why create a web site?
I have read a huge amount of content on type 2 diabetes. Most of the content is "how to live with it". Some mention "possible" reversal but not clear instructions of how to. I also found a few American sites offering expensive meal-plans / herbal remedies to "cure" it.
Having found a researched, documented method that worked for me, I felt I had to share it, SHOUT about it!
I want you to know that this works and you could be free of diabetes (or in remission) in just 8 weeks.
What's new?
Nothing is new.
Most sites cover multiple topics. I have simply focused on one method that worked for me and is documented to have worked for many others. (But that has not as yet been scientifically substantiated enough for some)
It is logical, well documented (once I found it), makes complete sense to a layperson like me and, quite importantly, it worked for me.
This is known as the Newcastle 600 Diet.
Thin or fat, this article explains the principle beautifully Daily Mail (Article) "I reversed my diabetes in just 11 days - by going on a starvation diet" By Richard Doughty. It was also published by the Guardian
Why have you called it "Henry's Way"?
I do not wish to cause any confusion. This is me, Henry, defining how I used the Newcastle 600 diet to reverse my type 2 diabetes.
It includes hints and tips that I hope help, plus it introduces an opportunity and a structure to possibly further assist others.
As this is Henry's way (my way), a personal journey, (but one I hope you will be excited to start and discover for yourselves), I do not have to be so inclusive or politically correct. It is my interpretation, my journey, my type two diabetes, reversed.
Is it for all types of Type 2?
No. There are always exceptions and the majority of these are listed but it will work for the bulk of us mature adults.
Included in the list will be early onset child/youth type 2. There is different advice for this on many web sites.
I should also mention that this is clearly not for Type 1 diabetes which is very different.
Do I also need to seek medical advice?
Yes. All the information I have read strongly recommends seeking specialist/medical advice before and during the 8 week process. I informed my doctors who seemed somewhat indifferent to it ("Worth a go I suppose" or something similar).
Most of us normally experience rapid changes which may mean having to alter your medication.
Are there any side effects
As mentioned, most of us normally experience rapid changes which may mean having to alter your medication.
As no other medication is involved there can be no other "side effects" in pharmaceutical terms.
There are effects of following the diet. These are listed and you quickly get used to them.
It is just a few weeks as opposed to a future life time of worry, drugs and check-ups!
